Germany’s Health Care seeks for more professional nurses
If you wish to be a part of the German labor market, you would need to take a glance at the hospitals and retirement homes of the country in order to forecast the future of Germany before heading towards a decision. What you will find in abundance is jobs for certified nurses.
The country needs nurses to take care of the patients and the retired as they are falling short of work force in this area.
Almost 200 applications for 1 or 2 vacant posts in other professions in Germany whereas 3 applications for 10 vacant jobs in the profession of a nurse is a fact that more nursing jobs are vacant in the country as compared to other German industries.
German Government easing application processes for the Health Care sector
Since the time German government has announced almost 13,000 vacant positions in different hospitals and care homes, qualified medical staff is being looked forward to more aggressively as it is the demand of the critical situation of the industry. This is an issues that the country is facing since the past 25 years.
Germany’s demand for nurses has seen a raise of 50% since 2015. At present, there is a shortage of almost 35,000 workers among geriatric and other nursing staff alone. Not only this, there is a shortfall of midwives too; the number of vacancies has increased two folds.
Despite being an attractive country to work, Germany still is running out nurses in the Health Care Sector. It takes six months to fill a vacancy in geriatric nursing today.
As there is a shortage of qualified work force in the healthcare and nursing sector, this in turn affects other sectors of the country. In order to solve this issue, German government has planned to introduce a law for skilled immigrant workers making it easier for them to access the German labor market.
